Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long does it take to receive my radio unlock code?
A: During normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 9AM - 5PM ET) you will receive your code anytime before the end of the business day (5PM ET).  After normal business hours, and weekends, the response time may take up to 24 hours (48 hours for holiday weekends).  If you have not received your code within 24/48 hours please contact us ASAP with at least an alternate e-mail address (just in case the e-mail is being rejected by the server of your first e-mail address).

Q: How will I get my code?
A: All codes are sent via e-mail.  Please make sure you include a valid email address with the four or six digit code you are to submit with your payment.

Q: It has been 24 hours and I still have not received my unlock code.
A: Probably the email address you provided us is incorrect, or our email to you got into your "Junk" folder.  Please, make sure you check your "Junk" folder for any emails with the subject of "Your Radio Unlock Code".
If you have an AOL account, please make sure you check in your "Junk" folder!
If you have not received your unlock code within 24 hours, please make sure to contact us at
customerservice@radiounlock.com or just use our Contact Us page form.  Its a good idea to give us an alternate e-mail address just in case our e-mails are being rejected by the server of your primary e-mail address.

Q: I submitted my payment, but I forgot to include the four or six digit code with it?
A: Just send us an email with the four or six digit code (remember, without those numbers we will be unable to calculate your unlock code).

Q: The steps do not work on my radio, what am I doing wrong?
A: If the steps listed on the main page (www.radiounlock.com) do not work on your radio, chances are we won't be able to unlock your radio as it might be a "RDS" radio, or maybe it is not the original factory radio.  But before you give up, try other preset buttons (like the AM/FM, etc) to see if you can obtain the necessary code.  Also make sure the radio is on "LOC" mode, not "INOP" mode.
